About the integration

To create an integration between a bank and the Senseworks platform, you need to createa link through the company in Senseworks that will be sent to a person who can authorize the creation of a connection. With an integration, current transactions are retrieved from the bank account and displayed in Senseworks Analytics.

The person who approves the integration needs access to the bank account and sufficient permissions on the account. What these are called varies depending on the bank. Corporate bank administrator can administrate these kinds of permissions for persons.

How do I enable the integration?

To create an integration between a bank and the Senseworks platform, you need to createa link through the company in Senseworks. The link is retrieved by:

Inside the company go to the page “Upload data"and click on “Add bank integration” under Integration to banking.

When you press “Add bank integration”, you get the option to copy the link and use it yourself, or send it to another person who can approve the connection.

How does it work when you click on the link? What does it look like for the customer?

The link goes to a page that explains the process about integrating with the customers bank. The person clicks there on the bank for which the connection will be created. At the moment there are only a few banks that can be linked. More will be added.

A new window opens that leads to the login page of the bank you clicked on. The person here needs to log in to the bank and authorize access to one or more bank accounts. Exactly how this looks differs depending on the bank.

Can the integration be terminated and for how long is it valid?

An approval is valid for 90 days for most of the banks and then a connection needs to be re-approved. This is not something that can be extended, but it is based on the regulations that exist for banks.

It is possible to terminate the integration/withdraw the approval, this is done through the bank.

You can also deactivate the connection in Senseworks. This means that no data will be retrievable, but the connection can still be seen as active at the bank.
